Who is Izuku Midoriya and what are his origins?

We have already said it above, Izuku is the main antagonist of the manga My Hero Acadenia. Commonly called Deku which is his hero’s name, he is
a rather particular character because of his history. Indeed, born without Alter in the fictional world of My Heros Academia, Izuku was waiting for the right age to manifest his powers.
As a big fan of All Might and his Alter One For All, he spent his days watching the fighting videos of this hero (considered as the strongest of the series). When children of the same age group as Izuku started to manifest their Alters, Izuku did not observe any change on him.
Faced with this situation and depressed, his mother took him to a doctor for explanations. Unfortunately, the doctor noticed that Izuku had two joints on his smallest toe, which meant that he would never manifest super powers. In other words, he would remain an ordinary person like the minority of people in his village.
Once at home, Izuku took his computer to watch again the videos of All Might as it was the case most of the time. With eyes full of tears, he asked his mother if it is not possible to have powers for him really as the doctor announced. With a depressed look, his mother took him in her arms and apologized for this situation.
Although this condition was quite embarrassing for the little Izuku Midoriya, he didn’t stop wanting to become a hero. Thanks to this determination, he could bear the insults and mockery of his classmates who were more and more contemptuous of him.
When does Deku get his superhuman (Alter) power?
Among all the “powerless” in the city, Izuku was the only one who couldn’t imagine a life without power. Although he couldn’t do otherwise, he had a strong sense of heroism, which made him stand out. It is thanks to this character that he was spotted by All Might, who found in him many assets to make him a future hero and heir of the One for All.
Thus, aware of his ability to use the One for All to good effect, All Might decides to make Deku the ninth heir of his Alter (one of the most powerful of the series). After this change, Izuku Midoriya obtains the superhuman form that he dreams of. However, he must now learn to tame this rather high power which can give him enormous injuries if it is badly mastered.
Passionate about his new life and his L’Alter, Izuku has shown great performance in duels and quite advanced analytical skills. He is also very comfortable with teamwork, making him a hero to be feared. Thanks to this power, he was accepted to Yuei High School where he competes with Shoto Todoroki to be the best.
How to recognize him in the series? All his appearances
At first sight, Izuku Midoriya has nothing of a fierce fighter. Indeed, very small for his age, he is not really influential. Concerning his physique, he has a round face with dark green and rather untidy hair. On his face, we can see big eyes, rounded, with irises of the same color as his hair. Basically, Izuku Midoriya’s face gives him an innocent and harmless look.
As for the build of our young hero, it is rather thin and disheveled. However, we can notice an improvement of his body as he trains with his idol All Might. As far as his clothing is concerned, Deku is rather simple in civilian clothes. He usually wears a small brown t-shirt, pants and a pair of boots, nothing too complicated.
At Yuei High School, he has the standard uniform that most of the boys in the school wear. As a special feature, Deku leaves his tie badly done, which makes him slightly different from the others. When he transforms into a hero, he can be seen wearing a jumpsuit and a red belt.
Moreover, he wears a mask with long ears that remind the hairstyle of his idol All Might. Also, we notice the presence of a respirator with a wide smile that looks like All Might’s. Finally, Izuku Midoriya has in original costume of combat his red boots, elbow and knee protectors of black color.
